I orginally grew up outside of Detroit Michigan with my twin brother, raised by a single Native American mother ( Wyandot Huron).

My parents were divorced while I was infant. Growing up without a father in the house was difficult, but both my parents taught me that education and a strong work ethic are the most valuable tools to overcome adversity and create opportunity.

I relocated to Troy NY 18 years ago to work. I eventually earned a $ 8,500 Department of Labor grant to complete my udergraduate degree in special needs. Thirteen years ago, I qualified for a $5,000 Home Buyers Grant through Trip Homes, which I used to purchase my first house. I continued my studies at the College of Saint Rose earning my Master of Science in Educational Adminstration.

I am a certified teacher in NYS, California, mentor, community activist, politician, public speaker, and volunteer working with at-risk youth.

My goal is to help students unleash there fullest pontential, to take risk, to become life long learners, and create a meanigful lives for themselves!
